Research Fellows will all be nominated an academic and clinical supervisor following appointment. The Academic supervisor is responsible for monitoring the Fellows progress and maintaining an overview on their activity. The University regulations require that fellows registering for higher degrees should have two academic supervisors. The University regulations require that degree fellows are co-supervised by either Professor Gao or Dr Perkins.

The clinical supervisor will be appointed by the Clinical Director for Anaesthesia or Critical Care and will be responsible for managing any clinical aspects of the Fellows training.
